Community
Community service gives an individual or company the opportunity in providing support and care for their local community or non profit organization on a global basis. Sustainable Engineering and Design believes that volunteering plays a key role in economic regeneration, therefore the SED team gives volunteer time and money to worthy causes and charities.

The SED team values the passionate camaraderie with other organizations and enjoys sharing in the team spirit with other volunteers.

"Community volunteer effort is about an opportunity to create real social impact on a personal level." ~Kandi Phillips

David Phillips, founder of Sustainable Engineering and Design, currently volunteers his time as a board member to the St. Lucie County Harvest Food and Outreach. Hunger and malnutrition are the greatest threats to health and well-being. According to the Florida Department of Children and Families, the number of families seeking public assistance has nearly doubled in just over 2 years. "To help those in need to transform their lives by providing food, crisis care, opportunities for education and employment, and a hand up to families, individuals and children who are fighting to break the cycle of poverty." ~Harvest Food and Outreach Mission
